COLLEGE CONNECTIONS
College Connection Recruitment Important Information: 
1) Parent Information Night is January 29th 7:00 pm @ the Oroville High School Library;
2)
Butte College Application (completed online ASAP);
3)College Connection Application (Due --February 6, 2015); and
4) Butte College Assessment Testing (Feb. 9th OR 10th 4:00 p.m. sharp- no tardies- at the Oroville High School Library) Sign up in the counseling office for 2/9 or 2/10 by Feb. 6th when you turn in your completed College Connection Application.

 
CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL EXIT EXAM
CAHSEE:   On February 3rd and 4th Sophomores and Seniors who have not taken or passed the CAHSEE will be participating in the Exit Exam.  Passing the exam is a requirement for graduation.   Seniors will have this, and one more opportunity to pass before graduation.    Tuesday, is the English-Language Arts portion and Wednesday, is the Mathematics portion.  If a student is not sure if they need to take one of the tests, they need to ask their counselor.   Testing is in the East Gym unless notified otherwise.   Testing begins at 7:50 a.m. and goes until lunch.  Check-In is at 7:45.  A photo ID is required and a couple #2 pencils.   NO FOOD, DRINKS, CELL PHONES, HEADPHONES, etc., will be allowed.   Contact Kelly Sapp in the Testing Office if you have any questions. In preparation for the February 3rd and 4th exam, tutoring will be held through this Thursday, January 29th.   English Language Arts (ELA) tutoring will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays in Mr. Hopkins’ room 219 from 3:30-4:30.  Math tutoring will take place on Wednesday & Thursdays in Mrs. Howard’s room 612 from 3:30-4:30.  MATH TUTORING is available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in room 619 from 3:20 to 4:50.
SATURDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE
SATURDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE 2014-2015:
Students who have unexcused absences are urged to attend Saturday School.  Each Saturday School attended makes up for one (1) unexcused absence.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
  • You can sign up in the attendance office and drop-ins are also welcome.
  • Saturday School is from 8-12 and you must serve the entire session
  • You must bring school assignments to work on
  • Meet at the quad entrance nearest attendance office at 7:55
  • Snacks are provided:  full rate- $2.00; Reduced- .30 cents; or Free

DATES:      February 7; March 7; March 21; April 18; May 2; and May 16

Clearing Absences
To clear a student absence, please call 538-2310 Ext. 2208.  Please leave student name, parent name, reason for absence and phone number (for contact purposes).
